After studying at the Art School of La Chaux-de-Fonds, in Switzerland, to become a fashion designer, I founded Change by Monica. This journey was driven by a deep search for meaning and well-being after a challenging period of personal questioning. It was during this time that I realized my true calling was not in fashion design, but in a profession with a more human and transformative impact. Back then, there were no dedicated image consulting programs, so I became self-taught, immersing myself in reading and available video resources to learn.

The birth of my daughter Mila marked a true turning point in my life. She became the catalyst for many reflections, particularly about the importance of leading by example. How could I teach her that she can achieve her dreams if I don't show the courage to pursue mine? This realization led me to make the bold decision to fully embrace my own growth, both personally and professionally.
2020...
As we all know, that year was a turning point for many people, and I was among those who chose to see this period as an opportunity to grow. I used the lockdown to train at one of the best image consulting schools in Brazil, a country that is ahead in this field. I also adapted my business to the online space, launching remote solutions so I could continue supporting my clients, even during the crisis.
2023...
My family and I fulfilled a dream by moving to Portugal. I finally felt like I was in the right place, and it was the perfect time to breathe new life into my business. I decided to launch Selflove Agency & Academy, a project that combines my passion for image consulting with my desire to share my vision: the importance of self-love in revealing oneself and reaching one’s full potential.
Today, I am proud to help my clients feel better in their own skin and dare to be themselves. I have seen how much self-image can transform lives, and I am determined to help more and more people dare to be themselves, love themselves as they are, and give themselves the means to shine.
